ABSTRACT <br />Commercial Testing and Engineering (CT&E) conducted a two species acute <br />bioassay on effluent for Bear Coal Company. The purpose of these tests was to <br />determine if effluent from outfall 001 complies with the WET (Whole Effluent <br />Toxicity) portion of the facility's permit to discharge. Results found that the <br />effluent was acutely toxic to C. dubia. but not to fathead mittnotiv. Accelerated <br />testing has been scheduled for C. dubia the last week of December. Therefore, <br />Bear Coal Company is currently in compliance with the schedule outlined in the <br />WET portion of the facility's permit to disc%arge for outfall 001. <br />F-4fifi <br />Original Walcrmarketl For Your Vrotcrtion <br />
