Box 518, Somerset, CO 81434 <br />DATE: December 23, 1997 <br />PERMIT AND SAMPLE INFORMATION <br />NPDES #: CO - 0044377 <br />Sample Type: Effluent Grab <br />Sample Date & Time: 12-16-97/9:40am <br />Test Date & Time: 12-18-97{12:40pm <br />Dilution Water: Laboratory Water <br />ORGANISMS AND PROCEDURE <br />Organisms: Ceriodaphnia dubia and Fathead Minnow <br />Procedure: Tests were performed in accordance with the <br />most recent protocols specified by the Water Quality <br />Control Division of the Col. Dept. of Health (1993). <br />RESULTS <br />Results from outfall 001 found acute toxicity to C. <br />dubia. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The effluent from Bear Coal Company showed acute toxicity <br />to C. dubia.
