The stability of the refuse pile as <br />designed (FS 1.5) should not be affected by subsidence. <br />WFC does plan to monitor subsidence at the New Elk Mine. Mininq <br />which is completed during the permit term will be in the non-renewable <br />resource area as shown on Map 20, Subsidence Contzvl Plan. Renewable <br />resources will not be undermined until the 1990's at which time WF'C will <br />monitor these resources. The areas which are overlain by a renewable <br />rescurce will be subject to a 508 mining recovery limitation to support <br />that area.
