Ms. Carla Lenkey <br />SECOND QUARTER 1999 DMR <br />July 2l, 1999 <br />Page 2 <br />The conditions at Outfall OlOA on April 12, 1999 were tha[ the pond was receiving inflow from <br />snowmelt due to the warming trend bringing the average 24-hour temperature to 36° F on 4/11/99 and <br />49° F on 4/12/99. The daily high temperature on 4/11/99 was 50° F and on 4/l2/99 the high was 59° <br />F. <br />The conditions at Outfalls 004A and 007A on April 27, 1999 were that the ponds were receiving inflow <br />from the precipitation event occurring 4/26/99 totaling 0.54". <br />DOCUMENTED DATA <br />Enclosed with this letter are tables documenting hourly precipitation, 24-hour total precipitation, hourly <br />temperature C, and 24-hour average temperature pursuant to Outfalls 004A, 007A, and OlOA. <br />Additionally, photos of all three Outfalls are included for your review. <br />EXEMPTION REQUEST <br />Colowyo requests the WQCD grant the Alternate Limitations of Part I, A, l,a, on page 3 of <br />Permit No. CO-0045161 applies to Outfall OlOA pursuant to snowmelt less than or equal to the <br />10-year, 24-hour precipitation event. Colowyo also requests the Alternate Limitations apply to <br />Outfalls 004A and 007A pursuant to precipitation less than or equal to the 10-year, 24-hour <br />precipitation event. <br />Please contact me at (970) 824-1531 if you need additional information.
