In this quarter, no discharges were observed at <br />Points 005, 009, 011, 013 and 014. Intermittent discharges were <br />observed at Points 015 and 017. <br />Two excursions of effluent limits occurred this quarter. Chronic WET <br />test failures occurred on samples collected July 24 to 23 from <br />outfalls 004 and 008. In both cases, the fathead minnow tests failed. <br />The Lethality Concentration with Statistical Difference for the 004 <br />fathead's was 12.5 (IWC = 17.38). The Lethality Concentration with <br />Statistical Difference for the 008 fathead's was 12.5 (IWC = 15~). <br />I notified Kelly Morgan of the WQCD by phone on August 4 of the <br />failures. A letter, dated August 4, regarding the WET test failures <br />was also sent to her. In that letter, Seneca indicated that <br />Preliminary Toxicity Investigations (DTI's) were to be performed at <br />both outfalls. <br />A letter, dated August 25, was sent to Kelly Morgan with the results <br />of the PTI's. In both cases, the PTI's indicated no toxicity. <br />Therefore, the toxic incident was closed.
