PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Seneca Coal Company, 36600 Routt County Road 27, Drawer D, Hayden,
<br />Colorado 81639, has filed with the Colorado Division c*f Minerals
<br />and Geology, a Permit Revision (No. 0~) t~ the Seneca II-W Mine,
<br />Permit C-62-057. This revision for the II-W South Expansion Area
<br />includes: (1) an additional 119.7 acres of federal and private coal
<br />reserves into the mine plan; (2) modifies the existing mine and
<br />reclamation plan; and (3) modifies the transportation and
<br />hydrologic control systems. To incorporate these changes, the
<br />disturbance area increases 255.6 acres and the permit area expands
<br />1,416.4 acres to allow sufficient room for roads and ponds.
