The pit will continue to operate annually. The supply is undetermined, but is
expected to last indefinitely because of the limited use of the pit. Mining will begin as
soon as all the proper permits are obtained.
The equipment to be used in the pit azea will be a dozer, front end loader, scraper,
and trucks. Al] equipment maintenance will be done at the county shop in Amherst and
not at the pit site.
No water will be used in the mining process. Groundwater is well below the
anticipated depth of mining.
EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan
The pit azea is currently farmed. Our mining plan includes stockpiling topsoil.
The stockpile will be protected by seeding. Our reclamation plan is to replace the topsoil
and return the azea to farm ground. The intermittent channel will be maintained when the
pit is reclaimed, providing uninterrupted drainage through the property. No slopes will
be left steeper than 3:1.
EXHIBIT E -Mans
Location Map
USGS Quad Map
Site Map
Mining Plan Map
Reclamation Plan Map
Aerial Map
EXHIBIT F -List of Other Permits and Licenses Required
Phillips County has obtained local county zoning permit approval (see attached
letter).
