Hartmann, State Historic Preservation Officer <br />1300 Broadway <br />Denver, CO 80203-2137 <br />Dear Mr. Hartmann; <br />E1 Paso County is contemplating opening a gravel pit located in the <br />SE1/4SE1/4 of Section 10, Range 60W, Township 11S of the 6th P.M. <br />The mining operation will be approximately 2 acres in size and will <br />be located immediately adjacent to the Simla Highway. <br />While we do not believe there are any cultural resources or items <br />of general archaeological importance in this area we would seek <br />your expert opinion. <br />If you have any questions about our present, or proposed, operation <br />I would be happy to discuss them with you.
