The predominate ground cover found within the Permit Boundary consists of upland agricultural land vegetated with <br />weedy plant species and alfalfa. Dominant plants in this area include: <br />Herb and Shrub Strata <br />o Island koenigia (Kochia scoparia) <br />o Poverty weed (Iva axillaris) <br />o Alfalfa (Medicago saliva) <br />o Quack grass (Elytrigia repens) <br />o Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis) <br />A grove of cottonwood trees can be found around the two dwellings on the property. Trees in the vicinity of the nearby <br />sanitary sewer main will not be disturbed. <br />Vegetation in the non-irrigated areas within Extraction Area B is mixed riparian grassland/shrublandlforestteaturing the <br />following dominant species. All species have "facultative" local wetland indicator status, and are listed herein order of <br />predominance: <br />Herb Stratum <br />Saltgrass (Distichlis spicata) <br />Tamarisk (Tamarix spp.) <br />Poverty weed (Iva axillaris) <br />Shrub Stratum <br />Tamarisk (Tamarix spp.) <br />Cottonwood (Populus fremonti~) <br />Rabbit brush (Chrysothamnus nauseosus) <br />Tree Stratum <br />Tamarisk (Tamarix spp.) <br />Russian olive (Elaganus angustifolia <br />
