However, as communicated to your environmental staff, <br />continuing to develop the mine into this known fault zone prior to emplacing facilities and procedures to prevent <br />future permit effluent limit violations will likely be met with formal enforcement action. Should the Division <br />pursue formal enforcement action, it will include the imposition of penalties of up to $10,000 per day of <br />violation. Days of violation may include reported violations up to three years prior. <br />To provide the Division with a more complete picture of the effluent quality during 1996, for each discharge <br />point, please submit a document summarizing the dates of discharge and corresponding analytical data.
