Air mist 13 to i gallons per
minute ~gpm~ of +vater{ ++'as used as the circulation medium. The injection water came from
Yello+v Creek. ;\Iter intersecting the water table at approximately ±±S feet, groundwater
Jlscharge measurements +vcre taken periodically by Lang personnel ('ollection of groundwater
geochemical data by Daub & Associates. Inc., personnel began at 6ji leer and continued to I D.
Drilling oC the 9g-inch-diameter hole proceeded to a depth of 63~ feet. +vhich was reached on
December I G. 1999. After cleaning out the hole by bottoms-up circulation, the drill string and
drilling assembly were tripped out of-the holy and 6?5 feet of S-inch-OD casing (1 R pounds per
foot) was installed and cemented to the surface by the tremie method on December I G, 1999.
Figure S illustrates the completion stattts of C\t1\'LI-? with respect to the casing program.:\fter
the cement cured, drilling resumed on December 17, 1999, and continued to TD (GR7 feet 1.
which was reached on December 18, 1999. The drilling assembly consisted of a 4a-inch tricone
bit with air mist (3 to ~ gpm ++a[cr injection) as the circulation medium. During drilling of this
final leg of the hole, rotan• drill cuttings were collected for lithological descriptions (Table 3)
and well-water discharge samples were onalyred on site for basic geochemical parame[ers
(fabled{.:\Rer hottoms-up circulation and collection of a detailed water sample fi+r field
measurements and uff-site laboraton~ analyses, the drilling asscmhly was tripped out of the hole
and the rig moved to AmcrAlia \1'ell ~t\\'A-?
