~~
~:

Department of Fishery and Wilolite Biology
Mrs. Richard Bucklin
P.O. Box 1052
Greeley, CO 80631
Dear Mrs. Bucklin:

December 2, 1981
r,
Colorado State University
Fort Collins. Colorado
80523
• I wish to thank. you for the generous permission that you have given
my graduate student, Jim Satterfield, to use your gravel-pit ponds for
research on largemouth bass and black crappie. The interest you have
shown in the outcome and the free rein that you have given Jim in the
use of your ponds mekes this an extremely valuable resource to the
fishery progr<rm at Colorado State University. My intent will be for
Jim to work on stocking combinations with an evaluation at first
spawning of stocked fish. Then I Hope to have a second student work
with you on fishing regulations to maintain a balanced coinmunit9 of
fish. Any new ponds that you miyfrt dig and want to similarly donate
to fishery research would be valuable to my long range goal of learning
enough about fish management in gravel pit ponds to write an extension
bulletin that would be available to anyone want.iny recreational fishing
in gravel pit ponds.
Sincerely,
Stephen A. Flickinger
Professor, and Chairman
Fishery Biology Major
~~
