VanSlyke, Supervising Geologist jJ
Division of Water Resources
SUBJECT: Idaho Creek Resources, File No. M-91-123 (
Section 20, T2N, R68W, 6TH P.M.
Water Division 1 , Water District 6
We have reviewed the above referenced mining permit application per
your request of October 23, 1991 . The application is to conduct
surface mining of gravel and reclamation . The applicant proposes
to reclaim the site by filling the excavation with water at the
conclusion of mining operations.
Since the mining and reclamation process will expose groundwater to
the atmosphere, the operation will require a well permit from the
State Engineer ' s Office. Also because this area is tributary to an
over-appropriated stream system, a court approved plan for
augmentation will be required . As an alternative, a substitute
supply plan can be submitted to this office for review.
Prior to receiving the above materials, we cannot recommend
approval of the project as described .
cc : Alan Berryman , Division Engineer
Robert Stahl , Water Commissioner NOV 2 a1991
Mined Land
Reclamation DiviSlor
