EXHIBIT L -RECLAMATION COST
The information in this Section is intended to satisfy the requirements outlined in Section 6.4.12
of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Boazd's Construction Material Rules and Regulations.
We request that the Division calculate the bond using the information provided below.
For the purpose of this estimate we assumed the worst case scenario for disturbance. The largest
azea of mining is Phase 2 (approximately 48 acres). We assumed this would be 100% mined.
Due to the limited space for stockpile storage at this site, we assumed that Phase lA, Phase 1B,
and the side slopes for Phase 2 would be 90% reclaimed. At this point, the ditch crossings would
need to be removed, and approximately 4001f of haul road reclaimed to pre-mining state. At this
point, we assumed Phase 3 would be SO% stripped of the overburden and 0% mined or
reclaimed. To finish reclamation of the site a 3:1 side slope would need to be created between
Phase 2 and 3; 3:1 side lopes from existing grade to top of resource would need to be created in
the stripped portion of Phase 3; the entire shoreline above the high water line would require
topsoil seeding and mulching; the disturbed area in Phase lA and Phase 3 would require topsoil,
seed and mulch; and the cottonwood trees would need to be planted. The slurry wall and
relocation of the Bull Seep Ditch is to be done at the beginning of mining and therefore would
not require any cost estimate for reclamation.
Activity Quantity Units Unit Cost Cost
A.
