The information is supplied in the order requested.
A. EXHIBIT B - MINING PLAN
1. The topsoil in the proposed area for the gravel pit will range from
zero to five inches. In prior years some gravel has been removed
from this site. This, coupled with natural erosion, reduces the
size of area by about 25q. Our best estimate is that about four
inches of topsoil will be removed from approximately 7.3 acres.
This will, of course, be stockpiled for reclamation purposes. About
4,200 cubic yards of topsoil will be stockpiled.
2. Stockpiles of topsoil will be in the Northwest corner of proposed
site. All stockpiling will be in the confines of the designated
area. We estimate 4,200 cubic yards of topsoil to be stockpiled.
3. Assuming approval of a permit by December 1, 1983, the County could
begin operating the gravel pit soon after the first of January, 1984.
We anticipate operating this pit for four years.
4. Protection of the stockpiles with a cover crop can be accomplished.
5. Mining operations will begin in the center and be expanded in a fan
shape with most of available gravel probably in the Northeast sec-
tion of the pit.
6. Past experience:indicates that the depth of sand varies in this'.area.
According to the Soil Survey of Logan County, this particular site
would contain gravely soil from 60" to 77". We estimate an average
depth of useable materials to be five feet.
7. The best description we have of the soil below mined materials in
primarily clay.
