Re: Conditional Use Permit
for Bunn Ranch Gravel Pit
Since the application for the nroposed Bunn Ranch Gravel Pit is in excess of
ten acres the State fain likely classify this as a major disturbance and may aslc
for an environmental assessment and regular permit for the gravel pit. If so,
please supply us with a copy for our files.
At this time the staff feels that there is not adequate information for us to
comment and make any sort of recommendation to the Planning Commission and County
Commissioners.
Additional information that is needed for review consists of the following:
1) Legal description of the subject property;
2) Pre-mining plan and associated maps;
3) Mining plan and associated maps, with narrative;
4) Time table for operations;
5) Copies of comments from Soil Conservation District, Division of Idildlife and
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as referenced in your letter dated 4/lII/80;
6) Division of ldater Resources information regarding the effects on water
rights, hydrology of the area, and associated maps;
7) Any comments from the Army Corps of Engineers on whether or not a 404 Permit
for dredging wetlands is needed;
8) We suggest that a copy of the State application and any other information
that will be put on file for public review be submitted to us for our review
and files.
At this time the Planning Commission agenda for May 5, 1980, has been closed out.
There are ten items on the agenda and the applicants have submitted the pertinent
information with their applications. Although ;you submitted your application two
weeks prior to the May 5th meeting, as required, it is felt that additional informa-
tion is needed for review. Therefore, we are rescheduling your application for a
