EXHIBIT E 8 L - RECLAM4TICN PLAN and COST:
The land in the affected area of our project is not suitable
for livestock grazing in its present state. Our proposed reclama-
tion plan for the five parcels of affected area is to recreate, as
nearly as can be determined, the original contours with an ultimate
use of livestock grazing and wildlife habitat.
From normal crushing and extraction operations we anticipate
to have 12% residuals and fines to use to create a topsoil that will
make a sufficient seedbed for natural grasses and brush that are
native to the surrounding area.
Because of the severe nature of the surface rock (see Exhibit I),
the U.S.D.A. Soil Conservation Service does not recommend re-seeding
the area classified as ROR on their aerial soil reconissance maps.
The Soil Conservation Service believes that natural weathering and
seeding would be the most feasable for re-vegation. However, our
mining method will leave the slopes smooth and in a condition that
will take a minumum of working to prepare for our residual fines to
be spread. We plan to stockpile and spread all of the manure that
is available from our ranching operation, and any excess that our
neighbors can allow us to use, on the slope to encourage soil building.
The re-seeding plan as recommended by Northrup Seed Co. is as
follows:
Dryland mix with the following composition ...
30~ Crested Wheat Grass
30~ Slender Wheat Grass
I5% Russian Wild Rye Grass
25% Samanath Braun
-6-
