It appears that either the BLM is withholding documents and parts of documents that long ago should have been disclosed to the public or has based the DEIS cm inadequate information that deprives the public of its right to evaluate and continent on the project. I request the following: (1) Please provide me immediately and without further delay American Soda's Mine Plan, especially including an}' monitoring or contingency plans, updates, new data or other plan portions submitted since the original plan was submitted and particularly since the EIS was published. I do not want to request these through the Freedom of Information Act because I kn ow that it creates an administrative burden for you and takes a very long tirnc to gel a response. If necessary though I will submit a Freedom of Information Act Request. (2) Withdraw the current DEIS and wait until American Soda has prepared and submitted valid baseline data, met all of the drinking water protection requirements and provided contingency plans, monitoring plans, grid other information that should have been there in the Srst place. Publish :a rewritten EIS and reopen the comment period only when all the necessary, reasonably obtainable information about the project is available to be disclosed to the public. (3) If you refuse to release this information, please provide me with the legal basis for your refusal to disclose information about environmental impacts to the public.
