Topsoil Stockpile #1
• A plan view of the topsail stockpile is shown on Map No. 12 and a
cross-section of the pile is given in Exhibit E. The stockpile
will be approximately 270 feet long and 23D feet wide with an
average topsoil height of 8 feet. The maximum height of the
stockpile is 20 feet. Erosion protection of the stockpile will
consist of the following:
(1) diversion ditches will be excavated above the stockpile to
keep undisturbed runoff away from the soil.
f2) a berm and runoff sump will be excavated along the toe of
the stockpile to detain runoff from the stockpile itself.
(3) hay will be used in the stockpile to reduce erosion.
•
This stockpile has been re-seeded with a mix prescribed by the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division and is now fully
vegetated.

456
