Dept. ui rielc'cl ``'~`JI'•1rC2S
_ Dear I1r. Briggs:
I have been in contact with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation board
regarding Castle Concrete's North and South Placers at the Pikeview
Quarry. 4!e have not had an opportunity to revie~•~ the material sub-
mitted to the State on the Pike vie~•r Quarry.
Preliminary discussions with the State have indicated that a common
reclamation plan would eliminate duplication, double bonding, etc..
A common plan is acceptable to the U.S. Forest Service.
If the plans previously submitted and presently under review by the
State include the North and South Placer, I would like to review this
material to determine if it meets the requirements of 36 Cade of
Federal Regulations 252 (copy enclosed),
If Castle Concrete desires to work with the Forest Service separately,
kindly notify me so that ~•re might provide a format for the develop-
rnent plan.
In any event, we will work with the Reclamation board so that the
development, production and reclamation will be uniform, regardless
of land o~•rnership.
S•ncerely
~~~%~ ~~ LIB
S V hJ W, DEITEMEYER
District Ranger
