• TDS, conductivity and major constituents tend to increase as the ground-water
contribution becomes a larger portion of the flow. The values, in general, are within natural
ranges but some inceease over baseline has likely occurred at NPDES site 001. No long-
term trends are indicated by the major wnstituents except for NPDES site 001, which may
have stabilized after several years of generally increasing.
5.3 OTHER CONSTITUENTS
Feld pH values for all sites were very similar in 2003 to previous data. Values
typically ranged from near neutral to 9 for pH values at NPDES site 001. Other constituents
analyzed showed I'~ttle change with all minor constituents within their natural ranges. All
values addressed in this report above permitted discharge levels have been addressed in
the quarterly NPDFS discharge reports (DMR's) and justifications for those values, i.e. storm
water, snow cover melt-out, etc., have been submitted to the proper regulatory authorities.
The iron concentrations observed in 2003 in the surface water for this readily available
constituent were bwer than normal due 1p the low flow rates.
•
5-3
