TERRY MC KEE
RE: NATIONWIDE PERMIT
Dear Terry;
~I I I I~' I~ I II II~~'I~
ssa
July 20, 1998

Thank you for your help and information over the phone today. I am applying
for a Nationwide Permit for our pit our Sunny Dale Farm Pit, which we have made
application for with the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals & Geology (#M-98-059).
The following is the information you need:
Latitude 4495, Longitude 715
Section 14, Township 7 North, Range 46 West of
the 6th P.M.,
Location-2 miles south of Paoli on County Road 21, ~~'
1/2 mile east on County Road 22, then south
into pasture.
Current creek bed width is approximately 90 feet

L & L READY MIX
P.O. BOX 218
HAXTUN, CO 80731-0218
The permitted area is 480 acres, the proposed area, including roads, to be
affected by our mining operation is 24 acres, however the initial mining area will be'2.9
acres. Approximately half of this 2.9 acres is bank and not creek bed. I will be making
application with you, probably within the next 90 days, for an Individual Permit, as the
area to we will be mining over the next few years will exceed 3 acres and 500 feet of
creek bed, and the mining period will be from 5 to 10 years before completion. We will
not be changing the flow of the creek, but will be widening it as we extract the gravel
that has filled in over the years. The area, after mining will be returned to pasture and
dry creek bed.
The specific area we will be extracting gravel from will not include any wet
lands, as it is dry creek bed with sparse vegetation of grasses and water is only
present following a heavy rain with runoff.
