Dept of Natural Reso~lrces
Dear Jim:
Enclosed herewith are two copies of a limited impact application for
proposed quarry operation in Moffat County. If you are assigned to review
this you will note that I had a little trouble in dealing with the processing
site. At this time I know in a general way what will have to be accomplished
to provide stockpiling and crushing facilities, but have not yet tried to
design a site specific plan. Very likely, during the initial year of oper-
ations, the processing site will be used solely for stockpiling. There
is another possibility that the rock from the quarry will be hauled directly
to a crusher located 'in an operating sand and gravel pit. I trust that
you can find a way to work with me within these uncertainties so that they
will not result in unreasonable delays.
The major land disturbance will be at the quarry site, and I believe
that Ferguson Engineers has dealt with that in a proper manner.
Included with this letter are some cross sections of the area where
the initial quarry operations will take place. Although they are not re-
quired as part of my application, they may be helpful to you in visuali-
zing the deposit.
Best regards,
~~ ~
Charles R.
