1
' 2.2.3 Access Roads
' Amain access road will be constructed from Rio Blanco County Road 5 (Piceance Creek
Road) to the Piceance Site processing plant. The access road will be a 24foot-wide asphalt
concrete road with 4foot-wide shoulders. A few permanent service roads will be located
through the Piceance Site, most of which are already in place (Steigers Corporation 1998).
' Temporary roads will be necessary to allow access to areas under development and operation
with the well field. Inch mining panel will have a central access road. A network of minor
access roads will be constructed to serve the wells. These well access roads will be
' constructed concurtent with development of new wells.
2.3 DOCUMENT SCOPE
' The Plan describes measures and procedures that will be used to conserve soils and control
erosion and sedimentation during the development and operation of the Yankee Gulch Project.
The Plan also identifies measures and procedures that will be implemented for interim
' revegetation and stabili7~on of disturbed areas, and for final reclamation. Monitoring
activities are prescribed to evaluate the success of erosion control and revegetatioo efforts
during the development, operation, and closure of project components. The measures and
' procedures described in The Plan will be used to recreate pre-project land uses; control erosion
and sedimentation; and restore stable, safe and productive postmining conditions to the project
area to the degree practical and achievable under available technology and BMPs.
t

1
t
1
L,
1

' American soda.
