The practice of routinely prescribing controls for erosion and sedimentation problems will be
avoided. Each situation will be treated creatively to minimize the cost of construction and
treatment, while striving to maximize their effectiveness.
3.3.2 BMP Specifications
The Plan groups BMPs into general categories based on their respective erosion and sediment
control applications. The fundamental groups are Concentrated Flow Structures (Appendix B),
Surface Treatments and Slope Protection (Appendix C), Water Treatment (Appendix D), and
' Biotechnical Stabilization Measures (Appendix E). While some practices and structures may be
limited to individual categories, others represent useful applications for multiple categories.
The prevalent and common uses and situations in which the various BMPs will be used are
' detailed in Section 4.0.

i
1
1
1
1
1
1
1
' American soda.
