i~ <br />the discharge from the mine shows little change from previous <br />t years. <br />The first discharge into North Thompson Creek from the treatment <br />ponds occurred on August 17th. The quality of the No. 1 Mine <br />' discharge is presented in a table in Appendix VI. <br />ANTICIPATED IMPACT <br />' The most significant change in impact occurred this year as a <br />result of the treatment of the No. 1 Mine Seepage. The treated <br />water has an relatively low iron content and an acceptable pH, <br />' however its conductivity is quite high which is a result of the <br />the salt load induced by the sodium hydroxide treatment. For- <br />tunately the flow is small, less than 30 gallons per minute. <br />' The entire mine site has been reclaimed and seeded. Good plant <br />growth occurred during 1988.
