than 1/'L inch or buried in an approved disposal pit; <br />(4) M dpits or other disturbance s ~1 be backfilled and <br />graded blend with the surrounding ~d surface; <br />(5) ~ vegetative cover was destroyed, an appropriate <br />seed mix shall be used in the first normal period favorable <br />for planting; <br />(6) If necessary to assure successful revegetation, the <br />drill site area shall be scarified, mulched and the seed <br />covered; and <br />(7) Reclamation shall be completed in accordance with <br />all applicable requirements of Rule 6. <br />5.46 Final Report <br />113(5.5)(d) (1) No later than sixty days after the completion of the <br />abandonment of any drill hole wh~icF~ has artesian flow at <br />the surface, or no later than twelve months after the <br />completion of the abandonment of ar~y other drill holes, the <br />operator conducting the prospectinci shall submit to the <br />Director of the Division a report containing: <br />(a) The date of completion of abandonment; <br />• (b) 'The location of such hole; <br />(i) For holes having artesian flow at the <br />surface, within two hundred feet oi' its actual location, <br />(ii) For all other holE~s, to the nearest <br />forty-acre legal subdivision. <br />(c) For holes having artesian flow at the surface, <br />the estimated rate of flow (if such is known); and <br />(d) the facts of the technique used to plug the <br />hole, including: <br />(i) A 1'ithologic description of the hole <br />including identification of aquifers and identi~~-cc <br />of the formations penetrated by thE~ hole, e e' ul~ding <br />information regarding mineral occurrence o zonation; and <br />(ii) A description of i:he plug ing, s`e~ling, <br />and capping techniques used; <br />(A) lJhen mud is used for bandonment t e <br />description shall include the viscosity (mars funn <br />viscosity) of the mud when the drill hole reached bottom, <br />the trade name of the abandonment niud utilized, and the <br />final viscosity (marsh funnel viscosity) of the abandonment <br />mixture. <br />• <br />- 43 - <br />
