Wyoming Fuel, 8505-087-094
3.0 RESULTS AHD DISCUSSION
Ceriodaohnie ep. mortality ranged from O percent in the < 50
percent effluent treatment groups to 45 percent in the 100
percent effluent treatment group (Table 3-1). Therefore, the 48-
hour LC50 vas > 100 percent effluent (Table 3-2). No control
mortality was observed during the teat. The acute NOEC vas 100
percent effluent. During the test ell chemical parameters were
within acceptable limits (Appendix A). Dissolved oxygen
concentrations remained > 6.1 mg/L (80 percent of saturation et
4,800 feet elevation above see level). Teat temperature was
maintained at 20-21 C and pH ranged from 8.2-9. 1.
The 24-hour LC50 for the reference toxicant test was 13.1
mg/L sodium dodecyl sulfate as calculated by the binomial method.
ERT's acceptable range for < 24-hour old Ceriodaohnie ep. is 2.3-
20.0 mg/L sodium dodecyl sulfate. Therefore, the test organisms
were within the designated sensitivity range.
9
