One copy of the document is not
bound as you requested. This document includes environmental ground water monitoring
data collected and compiled during our eighteenth quarter of operations, January 1, 2005
through March 31, 2005. No solution mining activity occurred during the report period.
Although the CDMG had approved a technical revision permitting modifications to the
monitoring program in 2004, EPA approval of the modifications did not occur until late
March 2005. Now that all agency approvals are final, monitoring and reporting will be
conducted as approved beginning in April 2005.
The ground water data summary report is spiral bound as anon-confidential document and
includes a comparison of the 18th operational quarter with baseline and operational
general statistics prior to the current reporting period. In addition, the tables provide
information for comparison of Ground Water Standards as provided in Regulation No. 41
of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Water Quality Control
Commission and Numeric Protective Levels and Early Warning Indicators.
Comparison of the data values with the Early Warning Indicators (EWI) and the Numeric
Protective Levels (NPL) is showing some values above the established limits. These
values are summarized in Table 1 and highlighted in red in each of the summary tables
within the document. Included in the Executive Summary of the Ground Water document
are graphs illustrating the locations and constituents that are elevated above the
established Early Warning Indicators or Numeric Protective Levels. These graphs include:
Point of Compliance
Well 21-3U Water Elevation and Barium Concentration
Well 21-3A Water Elevation and Barium Concentration
Well 21-3A Water Elevation and Boron Concentration
Delivering a Crystal Clear Advantage
www-americansoda.com
