This <br />unit occurs on private lands and on National Forest. Poor soil <br />potentials for building and construction on this unit are mostly <br />due m depth to bedrock of the Lymanson soil and the stcep slopes <br />of both soil components. These limitations add to the cost of con- <br />stmction. This unit occurs on the Creede Formation, a geologic <br />fomtation of sedimentary origin. This unit is big game winter <br />range. <br />Past History of Use. A considerable amount of prospecting and <br />mining occurred on this unit. <br />Landscape Level Natural Disturbance Processes. Arizona fes- <br />cue likely experiences Eves on an interval 2 [0 46 years, similar to <br />Douglas-fir and ponderosa pine.
