21. Permanent roof supports shall not be recovered unless the operator has <br />included a detailed system for such recovery in the approved roof control <br />plan. <br />22. Devices such as spherical washers, angle washers, or slotted wood wedges, <br />should be used to compensate for the angle when roof bolts are installed <br />at angles greater than 5o from the perpendicular to the roof line. <br />23. All roof bolt materials shall be stored and handled in such a manner <br />that will minimize rustino and/or damaging. <br /> <br />NOTE: Part 80, Title 30, Code of Federal Regulations, provides that all <br />unintentional roof falls described therein be investigated and the results <br />of the investigation shall be maintained in accordance with Section 80.23 <br />of Part 80. Such falls shall also be shown on a map of the mine. Failure <br />to do so will be a violation of Part 80. <br /> <br />11 <br />
