• <br />2 <br />Reclamation Plan <br />Y~ ~ <br />The site has suitable t~yl remaining for establishment <br />of grass species. The slopes on the North-side'of the <br />pit need to be sloped to no greater than 4:1. There is <br />a small drainage that runs between the two excavation <br />areas. This drainage needs to be sloped to no greater than <br />4:1. After the sloping is completed 39 to 40 lbs. of <br />available nitrogen per acre will be applied. <br />Seeding of this site will be done using a grass drill. <br />The species seeded will be Pastura Little Blue stem at <br />3.5 lbs. pure-live-seed per acre and Vaughn sideouts <br />grama at 4.5 lbs. pure-live-seed per acre. Seeding will <br />be done in June to ensure good survival and establishment <br />of the seeded species. <br />After the seeding operation is completed the site will be <br />mulched with 4000 lbs. of native hay or straw per acre. <br />This mulch will be mechanically anchored using a disc. <br />Weed control on the seeding will be done as necessary for <br />a minimum of 2 yrs. following the seeding. The weeds <br />will be mowed when they reach a height of 4 inches. <br />Grazing or other uses will be restricted for a minimum of <br />2 years following the seeding. <br />All work shall comform to SCS standards and specifications <br />for critical area treatment, mulching and seeding. <br />
