• Reclamation Soil Testing P1 <br />In order to assure that the graded area will support the proposed <br />post-mining land use, a sampling program will be implemented. After <br />grading the area, a sampling program will be initiated to follow <br />recommendations of the Division. <br />Specific parameters to be sampled are nitrate nitrogen reported as parts <br />per million (ppm); organic matter to determine the nitrate producing <br />potential; phosphorus as parts per million (ppm); and potassium as <br />parts per million (ppm). <br />Based on this analysis, the final recommended rates for fertilization. <br />will be determined. Prior to the implementation of any fertilization at <br />the mine site, the Division will be notified for approval. <br />Sealing of Exploration and Mine Holes <br />• The details of portal closure and elimination of drill holes is set <br />forth at the start of this Section. <br />Water and Air Oualitv Control Techniques <br />Steps to be taken to comply with the Clean Water Act and other <br />applicable water quality laws and regulations and health and safety <br />standards including comprehensive drainage and sediment control plan <br />described in Sections 2.05.3 and 4.01.5 through 4.05.18. With respect <br />to the compliance with the Clean Water Act, Sunbelt has requested a <br />discharge permit from the Colorado State Department of Health under the <br />National Pollutant and Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). Compliance <br />with this permit serves to effect compliance with the Clean Water Act <br />and the Colorado Water Quality Control Act. A copy of this submittal is <br />presented in Exhibit 4, Permits for Mining. <br /> <br />2.05-36 <br />
