In order to assure that the graded area will support the proposed
post-mining land use, a sampling program will be implemented. After
grading the area, a sampling program will be initiated to follow
recommendations of the Division.
Specific parameters to be sampled are nitrate nitrogen reported as parts
per million (ppm); organic matter to determine the nitrate producing
potential; phosphorus as parts per million (ppm); and potassium as
parts per million (ppm).
Based on this analysis, the final recommended rates for fertilization.
will be determined. Prior to the implementation of any fertilization at
the mine site, the Division will be notified for approval.
Sealing of Exploration and Mine Holes

forth at the start of this Section.
Water and Air Oualitv Control Techniques
Steps to be taken to comply with the Clean Water Act and other
applicable water quality laws and regulations and health and safety
standards including comprehensive drainage and sediment control plan
described in Sections 2.05.3 and 4.01.5 through 4.05.18. With respect
to the compliance with the Clean Water Act, Sunbelt has requested a
discharge permit from the Colorado State Department of Health under the
National Pollutant and Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). Compliance
with this permit serves to effect compliance with the Clean Water Act
and the Colorado Water Quality Control Act. A copy of this submittal is
presented in Exhibit 4, Permits for Mining.
