During this quarter, nine NPDES outfalls
were active. Outfalls 001, 002, 008, 010, 011, and 017 dischazged routinely throughout the
quarter. Outfa11006 dischazged through the first week in June. Outfa11005 discharged for the
first three weeks of April, and outfall 009 discharged only during the first week of April.
Outfalls 003, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, and 019 did not discharge during the quarter. Values
reported on the enclosed DMR's represent the maximum (or minimum as applicable) monthly
values generated at each outfall during the quarter.
Also enclosed aze monthly NOAA weather summaries for the reporting period, seep volume
data for site 011, and WET test report forms as applicable. Five outfalls were sampled for
WET analyses during the quarter. Two species tests were completed at outfalls 001, 005, 009,
and 011 while a single species test (P. promelas) was completed at outfall 002. No
exceedances of WET test limitations were observed at any of the outfalls.
Exceedances of primary effluent limitations aze noted as follows, however, in all instances,
alternate limitations are applicable as runoff was attributable to either snowmelt or
precipitation. At outfall 002, the primary 30~ay average limitation for T5S was exceeded by
a sample collected 5/6/98 (40 mg/1). However, the alternate daily maximum limitation for
settleable solids applicable in the event of discharge caused by precipitation less than or equal
to the 10-year, 24-hour precipitation event, was met. As noted on the enclosed monthly
NOAA weather summary for May, precipitation in the amount of 0.03" was recorded on
5/6/98. Daily precipitat'on measurements are typically recorded at 7:30 a.m.. The sample in
P.O. Box 187 Craig, Colorado 81626 (970) 824-4401
