The purpose of this letter is to approve the lining of the above referenced site. This site consists of one cell
as shown on the attached map at the former West Pueblo Pit site.
This approval is based on a site inspection conducted by our staff and on the information provided by Lyman
Henn, Inc. on your behalf under cover letters dated February 8, 2006 and June 9, 2006 (attached). The
estimated site groundwater inflow and the outflow due to pumping indicate that this site has been lined to
the design standard referenced in the August, 1999 State Engineer Guidelines for Lining Criteria for Gravel
Pits. Meeting the design standard requires that all water inflows and outflows for this site must be
accounted for on at least a monthly basis.
