Long <br />Dieis~nn DireUOr <br />RE: Division of Minerals and Geology Recommendation to the Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board, Timnath Connell Pit Application, File No. 114-99-050 <br />On August 3l, 1999 the Division of Minerals and Geology made the decision to recommend approval <br />of the Timnath Connell application, with conditions. <br />One condition will be that the applicant must keep their excavations at least two feet above the <br />maximum groundwater elevation until a Substitute Water Supply Plan is approved by the Office of the <br />State Engineer and proof of this approval is submitted to the Division. <br />The Division is also considering possible conditions regarding the construction of the clay liner, <br />groundwater bypass ditch and stability issues. <br />A complete list of all finalized conditions and a rationale for recommendation for approval with <br />conditions will be mailed to all interested parties by September 7, 1999. <br />If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. <br />Sincerely, <br />/~'~j ~ ~~tiv.J~ <br />Gregg R.
