// l~~o /~~(~~~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII DocDate:12/11/2001
sss
~,,o,,,,Q:SECTION 5.0 Topsoil Stockpile Locations "

Trapper's approved permit application (Section 4.9.2) specifies that CMLRD will be provided
with map(s) illustrating the actual location of topsoil stockpiles constructed during the previous
year and the projected locations for most stockpiles proposed for construction during the
upcoming year. Those maps (5-1 and 5-2) are included in this section.
The maps have been revised (1990) and shall be submitted in Appendix W annually while
updating the report and map series, as per TR-48. The update shall include the locations of all
existing stockpiles. In 1990, Trapper shall provide the approximate topsoil volumes (cyds) for
all existing stockpiles. Table 4.9.2-1 lists all existing stockpiles with their identification nomen-
clature, acoordinate (based on the approximate center of the pile), the basal area (acres), an
approximate initial construction date and the current approximate volume.
At the end of 1990 there were 76 existing topsoil stockpiles at Trapper affecting 150 acres and
storing approximately 3,461,000 cubic yards of salvaged materials.
During 1990, Trapper constructed four new topsoil stockpiles and added topsoil to ten existing
piles. Additionally, a portion of six existing piles was removed and four piles were eliminated
via topsoil replacement.
The proposed locations for topsoil stockpiling in 1991 may exceed the actual number that will
be constructed. Topsoil stockpile locations and the number of piles constructed are dependent
on field conditions that are encountered each reclamation season. Additionally, portions of
particular piles maybe depleted or added to in order to maintain a cost effective salvage or
replacement program during a particular year.
Permit Table 4.9-4 describes Trapper's overall topsoil stockpile inventory through the 1992
permit term.
~~
