P~ D.
Gregory Lewicki Program Director
D.H. Emling Company
7800 East Union Avenue, Suite 420
Denver, CO 80237
Dear Mr. Lewicki
Your April 30, 1982 request to Mr. Scott Peterson for information
on an underground mine just south of Trinidad, Colorado has been reviewed
by staff of the Natural Heritage Inventory of the Colorado Natural
Areas Program. According to our current data base, it appears as if the
proposed project would not affect any known species of Special Plants
or Special Animals, or any known Plant Communities of Special Concern.
• As the Inventory is continually incorporating new and updated
data, this information should be considered out of date within a month
or two. Information sources for updating the data base include
literature, herbarium and museum collections, field reports and research,
and personal communications. Should you do any field work regarding
the project for which you have requested our information, any data that
you could contribute to the Inventory would be greatly appreciated.
Costs directly incurred by the Natural Areas Program from answering
this request amount to $14.60 and are itemized on the attached sheet.
Though we do not currently bill for these services, we would gratefully
accept a donation for this amount. If you choose to make a donation,
the check should be made payable to the State of Colorado, and sent to
the Natural Areas Program at the above address. This will help us to
continue to provide quality information to you and others at a substantial
savings.
If I can be of further assistance, please advise.
Sincerely,
^,
`1 ~~ /l.Lt~o~
Corse Pustmueller, Ph.D.
Director, Colorado Natural Areas Program
• CJP:cas
enclosure
2i~
