All ponds were well below the 608 volume criteria with the
exception of Coyote Dam which was near the 60~ criteria. We do not anticipate
any sediment pond cleaning this year. The sediment survey for Coyote Dam was
completed in late .tune, 1989. Technical revision 47 addresses this survey and
proposes an alternative sediment removal plan for Coyote Dam. The alternative
plan eliminates the 608 sediment criteria for Coyote only, and incorporates a
sediment criteria based on a 10-year, 24-hour precipitation event in the
Coyote watershed plus a safety factor of two years of sediment deposition.
Future sediment removal from Coyote Dam will be directly related to the
approval of TR47.
Tony, if you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
/~l~t ~~~~r`-
William Agnew
Sr. Environmental Engineer
WA/jb
[CMLRD\SEP13B]
c: J.M.
