Ms. Sandra L. Emrich
July 23, 1984
Page 3
D. Downstream Embankment Slope
Vegetation appears somewhat thicker on this slope than on
the upstream slope. Erosion does not appear to be a problem
due to the relatively short slope and limited area exposed
to runoff. No cracking, bulging, or other signs of stress
were noted.
I1'Z. Results
There has been no noticeable change in the embankment structure
since the annual inspection of July 18, 1983. Vegetation is growing
on the side slopes.
water impoundment noted during this inspection is attributable to
the following principal causes:
(1) Above average surface runoff this Spring.
(2) Concentrated volume of water present as mudslide area (upstream,
off permit, and in native ground) dewatered. -
The embankment is stable and the underlying rock fill is functioning
as expected.
If you have any questions or concerns regax-ding this report please
contact me at this office.
Respectfully,
SENECA MI
~~~`'~'/`~y~f,
Craig Jen n/ iASgs, P.
