Improved construction plans for a well-
defined and protected outflow channel from the
emergency spillway crest of Pond 006.
c.) Plans for alternate sediment control
structures within the watershed of Pond 006 to
provide for the reduced sediment treatment
capability of modified Pond 006.
2. Obtain approval from CMLRD for the above
plans. We anticipate approval by July 9, 1991
and will begin construction as soon as
practicable, considering weather conditions
and the mine vacation scheduled from July 6
through July 20, 1991.
3. Complete construction of alternate sediment
control structures and modifications to Pond
006 by approximately September 1, 1991. We
are estimating a construction period of
approximately six weeks for this work.
4. Complete preparation of as-built drawings for
Pond 006 by approximately October 15, 1991,
and submit to MSHA and CMLRD.
Please contact Ron Gehrke or me if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
~A
Fred Fest
Manager
Env.
