ii i i ii i iiii iiiiiii <br />• Doc Date:12/11/2001 <br />RULE 2.06 REQUIREMENTS FOR PERMITS FOR SPECIAL CATEGORIES <br />2.06.1 Scope <br />This section establishes the minimum requirements for permits for <br />the special categories of surface coal mine operations which are in <br />addition to the applicable permit application requirements and the <br />procedures of Rule 2. The special categories are as follows: <br />• Experimental practices mining <br />• Mountaintop removal mining <br />• Steep slope mining <br />• Variances from approximate original restoration requirements <br />for steep slope mining <br />• Prime farmlands <br />• • Variances for delay in contemporaneous reclamation requirement <br />in combined surface and underground operations <br />• Mining of alluvial valley floors <br />• Angering <br />• Coal processing or support facilities not located within the <br />permit area of a specified mine <br />• In situ processing facilities <br />2.06.2 Experimental Practices Mini <br />This section is not applicable to the mining plan which GEC Minerals, <br />Inc. currently utilizes and plans to continue to utilize during the <br />next five years. <br />2.06.3 Mountaintop Removal Mining <br />This section is not applicable to the GEC Minerals, Inc. mining <br />operation. <br />2.06-1 <br />
