999
October 24, 1977
G. D. Sjaaatad
1414 market Street
Denver, CO. 80202
RE: Ike No. 1 Mine. Our file 977-451
Dear Mr. Sjaastad:
May we request some additional material for clarification and adequacy:
1. The legal description should be "a portion of the 1/4 1/4
section."
2. The actual area should be outlined on the map. Even at
that scale a 200' or 300' area will show up. Adjacent
landowners should be shown.
3. The mining plan should address an estimated time table
and also erosion control according to Rule 6 of the
Rules and Regulations (such as the coarse material or
boulders will be put on the dump elopes for rip rap.)
4. In Exhibit D we should have a letter or their wildlife
form from the Division of Wildlife. (Or during this
busy hunting season, proof that you have requested same.)
5. The reclamation plan should also address a range of thick-
ness of the topsoil to be replaced and the seeding mixture
should be in pounds per acre. Revegetation of the waste
dump using fines from the operation should also be addressed,
as well as the method of sealing the portal.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
R. C. Campbell
Reclamation Specialist
