Provide statement of need for proposed use, including the economic feasibility and items such as: (a) cost of <br />proposal (construction, operation, and maintenance); (b) estimated cost of next best alternative; and (c) expected <br />public benefits. (If extra space is needed. use page 3, REMARKS). (a ) The cost to date for <br />extinguishing the combustion event (5-31-00) is 515,000,000. (b)N/A <br />(c) The combustion event was successfully extinguished allowing 300 miners <br />to go back to work. <br />12.
