~~ ENVIRONMENT, INC. PAGE 3
JuLV aa, zoos
water that needs to be diverted at the ditcJt diversion point from the source. The monthly recap
sheet and Table C2 - column S will be used to calculate the amount of water needed based on
the amount of lake surface azea that exists in any given month.
Tables A2 thru C2 are based on this information.
No more than 5 acres of lake area will exist during dewatering operations.
2. Fulton Ditch shares will be used a9 irrigation season makeup water temporazily until
Denver Water Department takes over the mine.
3 From the Fulton ditch delivery point to the river is 0.75 miles.
4. Mining ended in June 2002 and Denver Water Department was notified that Frei has
completed their portion of the mine. Frei will supply makeup water from their
Fulton shazes until it is no longer available this fall, at which time Denver will be
responsible for the mine lake losses.
5. Transportation loss factor used is 0.25 % per mile
Table A2 is the recap sheet for this mine where the unit numbers are multiplied by 5
acres to get ac-inches. Column 5 then sums columns 2, 3, & 4 to show total evaporation losses.
Columns 5 & 6 are from Table F2, and column 7 sums 5 & 6 and converts to acre-ft. It has
data from Table B2, from Table D2 and from Exhibit 1. The last column of this tables shows
the amount of water delivered each month to the river.
Our plan is to operate the mine under Scenario Two, accounting for actual lake azea and
makeup water supply using the monthly recap sheet. This fall the plan operation will be turned
over to Denver Water Departrnent. If dewatering stops then your office would be contacted and
advised that the source of makeup water has shifted from Suburban's water sources to Denver
Water Department water.
