Reclamation Permit Application
Dear Ms. Nordyke:
On October 26, 1994, the Division of Minerals and Geology received your
application package for a Limited Impact 110(2) Reclamation Permit for the
Nordyke Pit No 2, File No. M-94-114. Preliminary review determined that the
following items must be submitted before technical review of your application can
begin:
EXHIBIT B - Site Description: Please submit the following information
pertaining to the general site description of the area to be mined:
1.) a description of the vegetation and soil characteristics in the area
of the proposed operation. The local Soil Conservation Service (SCS) may
provide you with this information as well as recommendations for your
reclamation plan.
2.) identify any permanent man-made structures within two-hundred feet of
the affected area.
3.) a description of any water resources in the area. Identify any
streams, springs, lakes, etc.
The maps submitted do not meet the requirements as specified in the Mined Land
Reclamation Rules and Regulations. The following information will help you in
preparing the Mine Plan and Reclamation Plan Maps.
MAPS - General Requirements (RULE 5.2.1(2): Mine Maps, except the index
map, must conform to the following criteria:
(a) show name of Applicant;
(b) must be prepared and signed by a registered land surveyor,
professional engineer, or other qualified person;
(c) give date prepared;
(d) identify and outline the area which corresponds with the application;
(e) be made to scale not larger than 1" 100' and not smaller than 1"
660', which shall be noted on each map; maps, not including the accurate
map of the affected lands designated in Section 34-32-11214), C.R.S. 1973,
as amended, may be prepared at other scales as long as the scale is
appropriate so as to clearly show those elements that are being delineated;
and
