Preliminary review determined that the <br />following items must be submitted before technical review of your application can <br />begin: <br />EXHIBIT B - Site Description: Please submit the following information <br />pertaining to the general site description of the area to be mined: <br />1.) a description of the vegetation and soil characteristics in the area <br />of the proposed operation. The local Soil Conservation Service (SCS) may <br />provide you with this information as well as recommendations for your <br />reclamation plan. <br />2.) identify any permanent man-made structures within two-hundred feet of <br />the affected area. <br />3.) a description of any water resources in the area. Identify any <br />streams, springs, lakes, etc. <br />The maps submitted do not meet the requirements as specified in the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Rules and Regulations. The following information will help you in <br />preparing the Mine Plan and Reclamation Plan Maps. <br />MAPS - General Requirements (RULE 5.2.1(2): Mine Maps, except the index <br />map, must conform to the following criteria: <br />(a) show name of Applicant; <br />(b) must be prepared and signed by a registered land surveyor, <br />professional engineer, or other qualified person; <br />(c) give date prepared; <br />(d) identify and outline the area which corresponds with the application; <br />(e) be made to scale not larger than 1" 100' and not smaller than 1" <br />660', which shall be noted on each map; maps, not including the accurate <br />map of the affected lands designated in Section 34-32-11214), C.R.S. 1973, <br />as amended, may be prepared at other scales as long as the scale is <br />appropriate so as to clearly show those elements that are being delineated; <br />and <br />_ C_T_A err <br />III IIIIIIIIIIIII III <br />999 <br />
