The recent <br />changes alter the segment's recreation classification from Class 2 to Class 1 a. As a result of this re- <br />classification, the fecal coliform standards for COGULD03 decreased to 200 colonies/100 ml, and a <br />standard was added for E.coli of 126colonies/100 ml. Because neither of these parameters are <br />pollutants of concern for the Cotter Corporation, the changes to the Classifzcation and Numeric <br />Standards for Gunnison and Lower Dolores River Basins are not expected to impact this discharger <br />with the exception of TVS values for metals as discussed below. <br />Standards for metals are generally shown in the regulations as Table Value Standards (TVS), and <br />these often must be derived from equations that depend on the receiving stream hardness or species <br />of fish present. The Classification and Numeric Standards documents for each basin include a <br />_ specification for appropriate hardness values to be used.
