2.05.3
The rock entries necessary to cross the fault in the B-Seam will be
developed in the same manner as the D-Seam entries. They will be
supported as necessary to assure safety of the miners and to assure any
debris within the fault plane is supported in place and not allowed to cave or
flow into the mine. Roof support may include additional bolting, steel sets,
steel sets with lagging and fill above the steel sets to assure fault debris is
supported and contained.
Mining has advanced through the fault in the D-Seam and developmentwork
is ongoing for longwall panels WD1, WD2 and WD3. The longwall mining
faces will be developed about 850 feet wide and will vary in length from 2800
to 6200 feet. Gates entries will typically be developed with three entries with
pillar spacing and size designed to provide maximum support for ventilation
and belt haulage. Bleeder entries will be developed with four or more
entries.
The new unit train loadout is located south of the UPRR mainline. The
Terror Creek Loadout and its associated activities are located north of the
• UPRR mainline. Therefore, the Operator and the Terror Creek Loadout will
not have overlapping permit areas.
~~
PR-OS 2.05 - 5 - 2/03
fiPPRevE9
9~ZS Jo3
