number 657-2580 has filed 6 applications for Mining and Reclamation
Permits with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under provisions
of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act. The proposed mines are located
at:
Seven Mile Plaza Gravel Pit: Fraction of SEty of the SEA of Section
6, Township 39 N, Range 7 E, N. M.P.M.
Ten Mile South Pit: A portion of N'~ of NEB of Section 25, Township
37 N, Range 7 E, N.P1.P.M.
Harrison Pit: Fraction of SEZ of Section 22, Township 40 N, Range
7 E, N.M.P.M.
Maxeyville Gravel Pit: NWZ of NE's of Section 24, Township 39 N.,
Range 7 E, N.M.P.M.
Sanderson Pit: Beginning at the NE corner of the tract herein
described whence the NE corner of Section 16-39-7 bears N 37
degrees 36' 1373.25 ft. thence N 89 degrees 55' W. 1001.50
ft. to the NSd corner of the tract herein described thence
S 0 degrees 15' w 438.00 ft. to the SW corner of the tract
herein described thence S 89 degrees 55' E. 1001.50 ft. to the
SE corner of the tract herein described thence N. 0 degrees
15' E 438.00 ft. to the NE corner of the tract herein described
the 'point of beginning.
Eleven Mile South Pit: SEZSE'-tNWl-4 of Section 33, Township 37 N.,
Range 8 E., N.M.P. M. consisting of 9 acres.
The sites are presently in operation and the proposed dates of
completion are: Seven Mile Plaza Gravel Pit, December 31, 2005; Ten
Mile South Pit, December 31, 2010; Harrison Pit, December 31, 1995;
Maxeyville Gravel Pit, December 31, 2030; Sanderson Pit, December 31, 2005;
and Eleven Mile South Pit, December 31, 2020. The proposed future use of
the sites are: wildlife habitat for the Harrison Pit, Maxeyville Gravel
Pit, the Sanderson Pit and the Eleven Mile South Pit; and grasslands for
the Seven Mile Plaza Gravel Pit and the Ten Mile South Pit. Additional
