All storm event
runoff has passed without incident. All dams have functioned as designed.
The remaining dams with the principal spillway culvert design (Johnson #6, No Name #2, and No
Name #4) are functioning properly and show no evidence of piping. Additionally, there are no other
structural or erosional problems to report.
Since last quarter (6/30/92) Trapper has built two new sediment ponds for two NPDES drainages. The
Deer Gulch Dam #1 was constructed in late August and has been monitored weekly since September
1st. The Far East Buzzard Dam #1 is currently in the final construction phase, spillway finalization,
and was constructed in September.
Coyote Dam continued to dry up until August 4th, when all standing water was evaporated/absorbed
by the soil. There has been no recharge [o the pond, even with several significant thunderstorms. The
bottom was surveyed and remains over seven feet below the decant level.
All drainages have ceased to flow except No Name Gulch. Without significant precipitation events to
produce sufficient runoff quantities, this scenario will continue until snowpack meltant occurs.
In accordance with Colorado regulation 4.05.6(]3), all sedimentation ponds shall be examined by a
qualified registered professional engineer or other qualified individual under their direction. All
ponds were inspected by a competent, qualified impoundment inspector and the results of his
inspection findings have been reviewed by me. All minor maintenance items addressed shall be
corrected before permanent snow cover occurs.
Please call Bill Agnew or me if you have any questions or concerns
Sincerely,
/~/~
James M.
